Don J. Currie
Mr. Currie is currently the Training and Development Manager for L-3
Communications, Link Simulation and Training Division in Arlington, TX. In that
role he is responsible for the training of all Link employees. He came to L-3
after retiring from Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Company. During his seventeen
years at Lockheed Martin, Don worked and managed numerous training programs for
the F-16 and developed the training concept for the F-35, Joint Strike Fighter.
Don Retired from the USAF in 1989. While in the USAF he served as a KC-135
navigator, with over 4000 hour of flying and and over 100 combat missions in
Southeast Asia. Additionally, Don served as an Instructional System Designer, a
Curriculum Development Manager, an instructor at SAC’s Central Flight Instructor
Course, and SAC’s Chief of Tanker Training. Don also serves as the Program Chair
for the 2006 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference
(I/ITSEC). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from
Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts degree in Education (Curriculum &
Instruction) from Chapman University.
