Darrell Gotcher
Darrell Gotcher currently works in Business Development and Strategic Planning for Raytheon’s Network Centric Systems business. His current role in Strategic Planning focuses on ensuring alignment of resources with the strategic plan to most efficiently meet the business’ performance goals. Mr. Gotcher joined Texas Instruments in 1983 working as a manufacturing engineer supporting DoD EO/IR programs. He continued to gain responsibility with primary focus on Army FLIR programs. His efforts in helping to successfully transition the Bradley Integrated Sight Break-Out program to production resulted in his selection to lead the manufacturing effort for the Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) SDD program. ITAS became the foundation for NCS’ Army second-gen FLIR business. Following Raytheon’s acquisition of Texas Instruments’ defense business in 1997, Mr. Gotcher was appointed operations manager for the man-portable FLIR programs. He successfully managed the consolidation of multiple production facilities while maintaining sales and delivery goals. While operation manager he also achieved dramatic improvements in production rates for the Thermal Weapons Sight in support of customer needs. Mr. Gotcher subsequently moved into Business Development in support of Raytheon’s Future Combat Systems (FCS) programs. Here, he participated in capture efforts that ultimately resulted in over $1B in new business. Mr. Gotcher, a native Texan, graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He and his family currently reside in north Texas. |
