JOHN HARLOW
Born and raised in England he began his career as an apprentice with Hawker Siddeley Aviation (later British Aerospace) before starting in the Avionics Design Department as an Electronics Engineer. John worked for several years on Sea Harrier, Hawk and Hunter aircraft being involved in flight test development and integration before leaving to join Marconi Avionics in 1980 as a design engineer on Head-Up Displays. It was this that lead to a chance to move to the USA supporting the early flight trials and development of the F-16 aircraft in 1983. John was manager of the support operations for Marconi in Fort Worth before becoming Office Manager in 1994. His present role in business development began in 1996 and continued through the merger of Marconi and British Aerospace in 1999 and he has since been involved in F-16, F-22A, C-130J, F-35, AH-1Z, V-22 and AB-609 programs in the D/FW area. He became a US citizen in 1996 and is married to Kathleen, a Lt Cdr in the US Navy Reserve and a native of Northbrook, Illinois. They have three children, James, Alexander and Paige and reside in Fort Worth. In his spare time, John enjoys playing and watching soccer, model-making, playing the guitar, and tending a classic Porsche 911.
