Frank J. Swehosky, Ph.D.
Principal, Strategic Studies Group
Dr. Frank J. Swehosky joined Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in 1998 and has held numerous business development positions. He currently serves as the Headquarters, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company principal for developing and integrating strategies across domestic and international business development activities across fighters, mobility, specialty aircraft and advanced projects. Previously Dr. Swehosky led the business market analysis group and was a key member of the Joint Strike Fighter Capture Team.
Prior to working for Lockheed Martin, Dr. Swehosky served with distinction over 21 years as an US Air Force officer. His last assignment was serving as the Director of Systems Analysis at Headquarters Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center. He was an award winning division manager supporting the Office of Aerospace Studies, led Space Shuttle modeling and simulation efforts at the Johnson Space Center and is a former Associate Professor of Mathematics at the US Air Force Academy. While at the Air Force Academy he coached the cadet handball team and took five teams to national top 10 finishes.
Dr. Swehosky earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Masters of Science degree in Science Education from the Oregon State University. He completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Swehosky is a member of the Executive Board for the National Defense Industrial Association for Combat Survivability Division since 1999 and a long time member of the Military Operations Research Society.
