REPORT OF BOARD MEETING, AUGUST 08, 2008

Thanks to the Board for a great meeting tonight. Accomplishments included:

• Approved bringing Pentagon speaker sometime between now and December – watch for further announcements – meeting to be held at the Fort Worth Club
• Approved bringing Pentagon speaker in April for NDIA annual meeting
• Approved Treasurer’s Report and expenditures
• Approved $1500 for ROTC awards – may consider a sixth award
• Don Hartman gave Interim President’s Report –
  • Two meetings hosted by Hitachi Consulting
  • Meeting with LtGov David Dewhurst meeting
  • Membership has grown to 1,046 members
  • Model Chapter program submitted to national
  • Great work by Don during his term – Nov 2006 – July 2007
• Approved motion to create Education committee to organize and regulate education programs during the year – Steve Engel as Chair
• Approved extending terms of 2006 board through April 2009 at annual meeting
• Approved creating 3 year terms for board members
• Named Nomination Committee for new officers and directors – Wayne Trimmer to head along with Admiral Lair, Fred Fleury and Ted Stout
• Approved Webpage committee to begin updating the webpage – John Thompson named as Chair
